Get to know Seun:
Seun leads complex research and evaluation projects aimed at eliminating health disparities through innovative, evidence-based approaches. Since joining PHIL in April 2022, Seun has led efforts to strengthen partnerships for Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) prevention and response, supporting teams in screening and addressing toxic stress while fostering workforce development. Additionally, Seun led the Local Health Department (LHD) Outbreak Response and Prevention in Healthcare Settings project, where he developed critical resources to enhance LHD outbreak response capabilities. He is skilled in applied epidemiology, data visualization, and leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful public health solutions. Outside of work, Seun enjoys reading, playing pickup soccer or basketball, and exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence in advancing public health practice.
Experience:
Seun received his B.S. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Michigan State University (2016) and MPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology in 2018. He has experience designing and leading surveillance activities to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases including bacterial STIs, HCV, HBV, HIV, MPOX and COVID-19, focusing on reducing their disparate outcomes in at risk populations. He also has experience in implementation science and program development for combatting the burden of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and other chronic diseases for children living in Low-and-Middle Income Countries.
