0–5 Maternal Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Initiative (MBH 0–5)

Overview

The 0–5 Maternal Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Initiative (MBH 0–5) strengthens community-based programs that support behavioral health, developmental milestones, and family well-being for young children and their caregivers.

Made possible with support from the Commission for Behavioral Health, this initiative supports children ages 0–5, birthing people, and their families by:

  • Strengthening community-based systems of care
  • Improving developmental and early learning outcomes
  • Reducing the need for out-of-home placements
  • Promoting family well-being and resilience

Through partnerships with six community organizations, MBH 0–5 reflects PHIL’s mission to equip communities and changemakers to navigate complex challenges, share learning, and lead lasting, equity-centered change.
