0–5 Maternal Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Initiative (MBH 0–5)
Overview
The 0–5 Maternal Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Initiative (MBH 0–5) strengthens community-based programs that support behavioral health, developmental milestones, and family well-being for young children and their caregivers.
Made possible with support from the Commission for Behavioral Health, this initiative supports children ages 0–5, birthing people, and their families by:
- Strengthening community-based systems of care
- Improving developmental and early learning outcomes
- Reducing the need for out-of-home placements
- Promoting family well-being and resilience
Through partnerships with six community organizations, MBH 0–5 reflects PHIL’s mission to equip communities and changemakers to navigate complex challenges, share learning, and lead lasting, equity-centered change.
Technical Assistance & Support
MBH 0–5 provides technical assistance and shared learning opportunities for participating organizations through:
- Technical assistance for grantees and service providers
- Quarterly Learning Collaboratives
- Local network mapping and systems analysis
- Data collection and reporting support for program improvement
- Partnership development and cross-sector collaboration
- Equity-centered systems strengthening
