Technical Assistance

PHIL provides technical assistance to help leaders make informed, strategic decisions. We guide you through initial planning to putting the findings from a community needs assessments, health system assessment, or program evaluation into practice.

Technical Assistance

PHIL provides technical assistance on a variety of topics to help inform evidence-based decision making. We leverage the assets the Public Health Institute has amassed over its 50 years at the forefront of public health–nationally ranked researchers, diverse and proven programs, strong infrastructure, and a wide network of partners–to improve health, wellbeing, and equity in a community. Since 2016, we have partnered with funders, community-based organizations, government stakeholders, and directly with communities to co-create solutions that move beyond symptoms to address root-cause issues. We bring the science, you bring local expertise, and together we use a proven system of change theories to get results.

1:1 or Team Coaching

PHIL offers one-on-one, site, and/or cohort coaching and support. Coaching activities could include talking through concepts from a group call, curriculum support, meeting design and facilitation, or other activities as needed.

Program Planning & Development

PHIL offers support with planning a new program or developing existing programs. Program planning and development technical assistance could include support with developing a logic model, theory of change, performance management plan, or quality improvement plan.

Data Visualization

In addition to providing a wide range of research and evaluation support, PHIL can provide technical assistance to help make sense of existing data. Data visualization support could include developing network maps, systems maps, or causal loop diagrams; data dashboards; or geospatial maps. All visualizations can be developed as interactive, web-based tools.
