Get to know Peter:
Peter started working at PHIL in 2021. During his educational career at the University of Chicago, he worked on projects addressing disparities in urban health among marginalized sexual and racial identities, cementing his passion for research that speaks to underserved populations. Peter currently supports research and evaluation initiatives at PHIL. He is primarily focused on the Aligning Systems for Health project, where he provides data analysis. He is passionate about implementing innovative mixed-methods strategies to generate robust pictures of the current landscape of public health. When not at work, Peter can probably be found snooping around a used bookstore or biking about Chicago.
Experience:
During his college career in sociology, Peter worked on a variety of projects related to sexual health, education, media, and politics. His time at the Center for Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Innovation in Sexual and Reproductive Health (say that three times fast) introduced him to media-based initiatives to curb sexual health disparities. He continued his career in public health at the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination as a qualitative research assistant.
