Get to know Emma:
Emma believes the best way to improve people’s lives is to design systems and environments that make it easy for everyone to thrive. She started working at PHIL in 2021 and is responsible for day-to-day systems, as well as coordination of operations and planning in support of the program. Emma and her boyfriend are currently traveling across the United States, living in a converted cargo van with their dog and cat.
Experience:
Emma’s background is in operations management and social service process improvement. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, she started her career in public service as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. Emma went on to manage operations at one of Chicago’s largest shelter and public housing providers which sparked her passion for public sector operations development.
