Get to know Erin:
Erin joined the Public Health Institute as a Communications Specialist, where she supports communications and outreach efforts across PHIL programs. She is passionate about nonprofit communications and enjoys helping organizations share their work in ways that inform communities and support positive change.
Before joining PHIL, Erin supported communications, media relations, and digital content for several organizations, including the Southern California Association of Governments, the University of San Francisco, the Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health, the San Francisco Times, and Loyola Marymount University. Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and her pets. She also enjoys reading, watching cartoons and animation, and is a big fan of anime.
Experience:
Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Media Studies from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications, with a specialization in Public Relations Leadership, from West Virginia University. During her academic career, she was recognized with several honors, including the PRSA Silicon Valley Diversity and Multicultural Scholarship and the San Francisco Public Relations Roundtable Scholarship. Her professional experience includes developing communications plans, managing website and social media content, producing newsletters and email campaigns, and supporting media and public affairs initiatives.
